Dispatch:Zimbabwe
July 13-15, 2007 at Madison Square Garden, NYC
For three incredible nights, a raw, joyful, supercharged energy echoed throughout Madison Square Garden as Dispatch brought the story of Zimbabwe center stage. 20,000 strong, we cheered for the African Childrens Choir. We danced down the aisles to the beats of Bongo Love. We laughed at the sight of Wimpy, the old tour van. We listened as Elias told us the story of his country. We mourned for the loss of his brother, Eria, who died of AIDS. We applauded the hope, beauty, and courage in the people of Zimbabwe. And we sang our hearts out along with Chad, Pete, and Brad.
